 A collaborative partnership

We'll work together to design a professional development program that inspires your community to step into their brilliance and become fierce advocates for their BIG ideas — the bold, insightful, and galvanizing ideas  upon which they will build their personal brands and professional reputations.

You do your great work. I'll do mine.

Great work energizes and inspires you. It is full of purpose and meaning. It makes a difference to your team, your clients, and your organization. Great work propels you to use your knowledge and experience to be of service.

Great work is why you do what you do. (It's also why I do what I do.)

I collaborate with event planners, corporate leadership and development professionals, executive leadership groups, associations, and independent professionals to develop custom programs to help their communities build their personal brands and professional reputations.

Whether you're looking for a 90-minute workshop, a six-week program, or a two-day intensive, I can develop a program tailored to meet the needs of your community. Interactive, thought-provoking, and action-oriented, these programs give your community the tools they need to take immediate action that will build their personal brand, broaden their network, and increase the reach of their work.
Dr. Robin Buckley
"She helped launch my publication experience."

"Erica helped launch my publication experience in an efficient manner and empowered me with the skills and information to do it on my own. She is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and funny — which makes working with her valuable and fun. Even after we completed our work together, she continued to celebrate and champion my successes, which went beyond my expectations.”
~ Dr. Robin Buckley, Cognitive Behavioral Coach

The key components of your custom program.

CREATE A BODY OF WORK

To build a reputation as an authoritative expert, you must develop a body of work that shares your ideas, insights, and perspective. In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn why it is so important to develop a body of work, and how that will help them advance in their careers or build their businesses.
  • Define their BIG idea — the bold, insightful, and galvanizing idea — upon which they will build their reputation as an authority.
  • Identify the themes and topics they will explore within their body of work, along with the unique perspective and insights they bring to the work.

DESIGN A REPUTATION ROADMAP

Building your reputation as an authoritative expert is a lot easier when you have a map. In this workshop, participants will:

  • Identify and prioritize their personal and professional goals so they can choose a strategy that suits them, whether that is writing articles, starting a podcast, creating videos, or securing speaking engagements.
  • Clearly identify the primary audience with whom they want to build their reputation.
  • Determine how this initiative will fit into their existing responsibilities and who else needs to be involved.

CRAFT COMPELLING ARTICLES

Whether you're writing articles for the company blog or a third-party publication, it's essential that they keep the reader in mind and provide real value so they don't add to the noise. In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn how to structure an article so it captures and keeps the readers' attention.
  • Discover how to write faster and better by getting the ideas out of your head and onto the page.
  • Develop a self-editing process based on my proprietary CORD framework.

PITCH THIRD-PARTY OUTLETS

Whether pitching articles to a third-party publication, your expertise to appear as a guest on a well-known podcast, or an association putting on an event, you must be prepared. In this workshop, participants will:

  • Conduct research into the third-party outlet to develop a strong pitch tailored to that outlet's audience.
  • Craft multiple contributor bios, including one for the pitch and one for the public.
  • Decide what steps to take when a pitch is accepted or rejected.

UNLEASH THE POWER OF THE BIG IDEA

Your work doesn't end once you publish your first article, record your first podcast, produce your first video, or speak at your first conference. To open the door to new opportunities, you need to make the most of every piece of content you create. In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn how to repurpose articles, podcast episodes, videos, and speaking engagements to maximize the return on investment from each piece of content.
  • Discover how to use content to foster relationships with prospective clients, partners, event planners, and industry influencers.
  • Reexamine personal and professional goals to create a plan for ongoing development.
